通过近期的各种报道，大家想必都知道西方资本市场的黄金正在通过各种途径流向中国，有人猜测这件事的背后中美政府是有所计划跟合作的，政府们正在下着一盘很大的棋。

　　上述有点阴谋论的观点我们暂且不论。但出现黄金如此大规模流动的根本原因应该是西方资本市场与中国黄金的观念存在巨大差异。比如你在伦敦黄金市场将很难找到一个人会将黄金与货币等同起来，所以，对于伦敦人来说黄金既然不是货币，中国人想要买黄金也就上升不到货币政策层面的高度。

　　对于西方银行来说黄金作为金融资产的一种，银行们在黄金身上反复赚取交易手续费、仓储费之外，黄金与普通资产没太多不同。

　　黄金再也不会在货币系统中扮演主角，这是西方央行的共识，我们也可以看出中国其实捡了西方凯恩斯主义厌恶黄金一派的"漏"，马克思主义从小教导我们的"资本主义终将自我毁灭"一说似乎早就被抛进了记忆的角落。不过资本主义虽好，但西方国家印刷的纸币可靠不住，可能最终自我毁灭。

　　下面，让我们总结中国一下为何中国如此热衷于黄金：

　　1.中国人有一种根深蒂固的传统观念，认为黄金是"终极货币"，所以不管什么时候，把未来可能贬值的外汇换成黄金都是值得的。

　　2.政府鼓励私人够金有两个好处：一是当经济/政局困难的时期，如果群众手中都有自己需要保护的财富，那么潜在的群体动乱的可能性将会变小；二是民间购买黄金将减少国家的贸易盈余，间接降低了外汇储备的增长速度。

　　3.不只是中国，整个亚洲都把黄金视为"终极货币"，这是一种历史传统。

　　4.有人认为，中国政府想用黄金支撑人民币的信用体系。但这样的行为实际上意义并不大，所以也有人推测中国政府够金其实有其它的用义，比如政府/政党为自己暗中储金。

　　总体来说，黄金的"西出东进"可以在今天全球大打货币冷战的环境下给予中国更高的话语权和影响力，但是考虑到西方世界已经在相当长的一段时期里没有将黄金作为货币，这种影响力将是极为有限的。如今，通货及信贷的膨胀已经成了现代金融工业的基础元素，主权货币构成了这一切的基础，绝大多数人相信并且接受这一事实。

　　所以说这解释了为何西方世界对黄金东流并不表示出担忧的情绪，中国也就趁势加大购买量，不管金价涨到多贵，预计中国的黄金热未来也将持续下去，因为中国人知道黄金才是唯一真实的货币。

KOLKATA: Jewellers from Kerala like Kalyan Jewellers, Malabar Gold & Diamond and Joyalukkas are not perturbed over the Kerala Women's Commission's suggestion to limit the amount of gold given at weddings to not more than 80 grams to reduce the burden on families and help ease India's trade deficit.

Talking to ET, Ramesh Kalayanaram , executive director, Kalyan Jewellers said: "Trade deficit and gold need not be related all the time. However, there are many other intrinsic additions and benefits that the jewellery industry gives to our country. When we talk of deficit, we must not ignore the fact that gold is the biggest investment and asset for much of the country's middle class. Compulsory dowry system should be abolished for sure, but we have also seen that it is almost non-existent in many parts of the country."

Joy Alukkas, chairman of jewellery retail chain Joyalukkas said: "The suggestion given by the Kerala Women's Commission is impractical and will not impact the buying habit of people living in Kerala." But the Kerala Women's Commission said that if the state government comes up with a diktat then definitely gold consumption will come down in the state thus helping the central government to put a check on the current account deficit.

According to the industry, Kerala now uses up to 400 gm of gold per wedding which works out to around 80 tonne per year. KC Rosakkutty, the chairman of the Kerala Women's Commission said: "We have submitted the proposal. This is necessary to bring down gold consumption in the state and also help brides avoid any unnecessary expenditure. We are expecting the matter to be taken up by the state social justice department and the finance ministry."
